Katie is a body acceptance advocate, the author of Body Talk and Sunny Side Up (available in June 2025), and the writer of the best-selling Substack,
. Katie is also the founder of Megababe, a beauty brand that makes non-toxic, solution-oriented products that tackle taboo topics. I’ve been following Katie for years (back when she was @the12ishstyle) so it’s a real treat to have her on Into the Fridge today. What is your fridge philosophy?
It’s simple: if it’s expired, throw it out!
Your fridge is always always always stocked with ____.
Poppi Soda - My favorite flavor is Orange!
Kerrygold Aged Cheddar Cheese Snacks - Can adults still eat cheese sticks?
Good Culture Cottage Cheese - I am a lifelong cottage cheese fan
Built Bars Puffs Protein Bars - These taste like candy bars
Happi THC Seltzer - My favorite cheeky late night bev!
Top 5 condiments, go.
TBH I don't really use condiments… but if I must add a little flavor I’ll reach for…
Ketchup - An all American classic
Maldon Sea Salt - I absolutely love a flaky salt
Fly by Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp - We love to support female founded brands in the Sturino house! And this is no exception, add to ANYTHING!
Fine, I’ll open it up to pantry too. Let’s hear your favorite snacks / pantry staples:
This is about to be the most random assortment of my pantry staples…
Honey for my daily cup of tea - specifically the Manukora Raw New Zealand Manuka Honey
Pistachios! I love a snack that’s also an activity.
To be clear, my husband, John, eats this not me! But Peter Pan Peanut Butter is somehow always in the pantry.
A meal that’s on heavy rotation these days:
If there’s one thing to know about me it’s that I do not usually cook. Big takeout/delivery girl! I’ve been living in Florida this winter and we pick up sushi from Buccan in Palm Beach at least once a week. The Tuna Crisps and the Grilled Carrot Salad are also my favs.
Let’s go a little deeper…
What’s the mantra you keep coming back to?
Put your confidence on first!
What products / practices are part of your regular mental wellness habits?
John and I meditate every morning using the Insight Timer app
Also my Higher Dose Face Mask - I’ve really committed to using it daily and have noticed a difference!

And your physical?
Walking on the beach!
Weight lifting - this is a new thing for me. I like to do this while watching tv!
Pickleball and Padel (Our new Santal Deo is a MUST for any sweaty activity)
Walking my dogs Ruth and Moogli (Thigh Rescue Mini is always in my back pocket)
What do you think is the most underrated part of wellness?
Jumping in the ocean is definitely an underrated wellness hack! It completely resets my day. If you live near the ocean, go jump in!
And overrated?
Sheet face masks! Do they ever actually do anything?

Picture this: you wake up one morning and feel like shit. What’s your next move:
We all have those days where you wake up and just don’t feel good about yourself or the way that you look. I have an awesome tool that I share in my book Body Talk about when you start to have these negative thoughts about yourself or your body. The second you start to think something bad, just say “NOPE!”. You have to learn how to stop that conversation with yourself as soon as it starts and not let it go any further. The more you do this, you’ll begin to catch yourself before you can even start.
Give us your ride or die wellness products:
Right now, my current go-to wellness products are my ZIIP Halo and Higher Dose Infrared PEMF Mat
One thing you do everyday that makes you the most YOU version of yourself:
My morning routine with my husband and dogs! I’m an early riser. I wake up around 5:00am, take my dogs out, and then my husband and I do a meditation, red light mask, play the daily New York Times games, and then go for a walk!
Another addition to my morning routine has been working on my latest book. Sunny Side Up is my first novel and will be available in June. I’m so excited for everyone to read what I’ve been working on!
Whose taste inspires you?!
So many women! To name a few, I am inspired by JJ Martin’s always fun and maximalist style, Gwyneth Paltrow’s entire way of life, and
because she just knows what’s up. (editor’s note: agree x 100)Big thank you to Katie for sharing a taste of her Floridian life with us. If you’re, for some reason, not following her already, you can read her writing at
