Wellness City Guide: Miami

Welcome back to Wellness Around the World: City Guides. Once a month, I’ll be tapping a resident wellness aficionado in their home city, asking them to share not only their must-hit spots, as well as a glimpse into the culture of wellness in their community. Today we’re talking about Miami, and

Dianna Cohen
is taking us on her tour.

Dianna Cohen
is the founder of Crown Affair, a haircare line with clean, effective formulas and tools intended to transform the health of your hair (but you probably already knew that). She’s been in the consumer space for nearly a decade, starting out in editorial at Into the Gloss, and moving onto early employee or consulting roles at startups like Away, Outdoor Voices, Harry’s, and more. Dianna was born and raised in South Florida, and now lives in Miami (and New York) with her husband.

A Little Backstory

What is your relationship with wellness, personally?

For me, wellness is all about small, daily rituals that help me feel my best. It’s not about being perfect but about finding simple ways to take care of myself—whether that’s moving my body, eating nourishing food, or taking a moment to slow down and reset. I’ve found that the little things, like a great haircare routine or a mindful morning, can make the biggest difference.

What are some traditional or typical wellness practices of people living in your community? Any specific outlook or history?

In Miami, wellness is really about being outside — morning beach walks, ocean dips, and just soaking up the sunshine. People here love a good outdoor workout, but it’s also about slowing down and enjoying the little things, like fresh fruit from a local market or an evening sunset. With the humidity and heat, skincare and haircare are a big deal too —everyone has their go-to routines to keep things feeling fresh. For me, just taking a moment by the water is one of the best ways to reset.
