What is your fridge philosophy?
I live between Costa Rica and NYC– so it depends on the fridge, but no matter what, lots of fresh and colorful whole foods. Tons of fruit and greens. Probably leftovers. Many types of chocolate. Chilled red.
Joy is a nutrient and I truly believe that having fun must be part of the wellness equation. I love eating well— I also love a glass of red wine over deep convos with my husband after the kids are down. That’s also nourishment. That’s joy.
Your fridge is always always always stocked with ____.
Artisanal chocolate and greens.
Top 5 condiment picks, go.
I usually make my sauces… but
a good French mustard
coconut aminos
fresh kimchi
whipped garlic
marinara sauce

What do you think is the most underrated part of wellness?
Caring more about eating real food than adhering to a trendy diet.
I see sooooo many people following diet trends pretending it’s a healthy choice, when in reality I think it’s masked diet culture. I’m not sure healthy eating has rules and do’s and don'ts. It’s eating that makes you feel good. Not just good in the moment, but good for life.
And overrated?
Protein. Or nutritionism in general, where we deconstruct a whole food and decide a component of it is more important than any other. Then we proceed to focus on eating that food at the cost of eating whole, clean foods.
Picture this: you wake up one morning and feel like shit. What’s your next move:
