You gotta try the Prequel hand cream! I wash my hands so much that sometimes the whole process of lotion can feel like I’m washing it right off but not with this!
Also, if you’re in New York (CO Bigelow) or Chicago (Merz), go spend an hour looking at all the legacy/European brand hand creams and balms. Ideal afternoon.
I too am an Aesop girl 🙂↕️ I kind of want one of those metal “key” things though (is there a name for them?) to help get every drop out — Katie, hand cream goddess, can you advise??
This was brilliant! I’ve used Necessaire for 6+ years, and on my fifth winter in Boston, my hands somehow decided they need a change. I think I’ll be trying the Sidia or Typology. Thank you!
dropping in to recommend o'keeffe's working hands! my holy grail hand cream that brings my hands back from the brink of bleeding. bonus points for being unscented and sinking in quickly :)
I posted a note in December begging someone to tell me about hand creams that actually work (I swear this category is part of the Big Chapstick conspiracy and most exist to make your hands more dry)...I should've known it would be you that would come to my rescue! <3<3
For a budget friendly options try Natura! I discovered this hand cream at the union square christmas market a few years ago and love it. My favorite is the acai scent and it's only $12!
Weleda Skin Food is great for hands, even though it’s not labeled as a hand cream.
Ooh hot tip!
i came here to say the same! and the smell is similar in quality to the aesop one, it vaguely reminds me of turpentine in a good way. 😂

adore them - I haven't tried a hand cream from them though?
youre right! i guess it's a for-everything balm
Perfectly timed as nyc temps hits single digits next week. I hate that I’m so loyal to my Aesop but it really does work.

I’ve been slow-bingeing your content over the last few days (I have the flu) and I cant believeeeee most of it isn’t behind a paywall. It’s SO good. 💳
That is so sweet!!! 💗 thank you (and feel better!)
I love this article! I’ve been on the hunt for a good hand cream (but on a college student budget) and I’m def gonna try the weleda one!!

Doing god’s work with this list.
Sharing my personal favorite as of late: Prequel Hand Wrap. It’s light, non-sticky, and super hydrating.
Ooh thank you! Big prequel fans out here I love it

Okay THANK YOU for commenting on hand feel, I need this to become a part of the common vernacular like “mouth feel” in wine tasting. It’s important!!
thank you! i'm in goldilocks territory!
But what do you recommend for best hand lotion to keep in your purse? I’m nervous about a metal tube becoming a mess.
exactly! I think the sidia one is failproof because it's a serum squirter
