I wait all year to buy the Laneiege lip mask in the limited edition Christmas peppermint flavor. I find the other scents too sweet and annoying. Also the line about having a dedicated lip balm for each corner of your apartment? That made me feel seen LOL. I need to get Nuxe Reve de Miel, the one in the pot, for this winter.
*cries in lanolips* which is now the only thing that works for me! that’s after moving on from my beloved Dior lip glow which was based on a recommendation from hyram’s YouTube comment section lol
It's fascinating to see how similar all their packaging is up close to each other. Kind of reminds me of vape pens. I recently transitioned from being a mint balm dot com girlie to summer Fridays vanilla. Maybe Rhode is next up!
It's funny you say that because I've been asked twice now if the object I'm pulling out of my bag is a vape, when it's actually just a lip balm... Do Rhode next!!
this article reminded me of the time i had to give a ranked list of something i loved for job interview and i chose lip balm and got the job (couldn’t move tho so had to decline 💔)
Also LESSE's is great! A bit waxy so I use at nighttime and Sonsie's throughout the day and my chronically chapped lips have never been better. Loved this piece btw :)))
What about SPF ones? Definitely a necessity for me due to daily dog walks ! Would love for you to review the malin + Goetz, Paula’s choice and the myriad supergoop options!
love to see Doré getting love! the cleanser is the only I've tried that doesn't burn my face, and the baume makes me look like I've gotten a hint of filler, even tho that's not a claim? also great for slugging.
I’ve never had so much fun reading about lip balms. I’ve been an Ole girly for about a month now, mostly because I was hesitant about trying Rhode or SF but I’m gonna have to give them a try!
also have noticed there's a difference between Rhode untinted and the tinted ones which are sadly kinda... grainy? my friend lisa (of experiment beauty) says this happens based on how much shea butter is in the formula and how long it's been there-- after a while all shea sort of gets grainy allegedly.
Ok to be fair it was when they first came out... when I emailed about it they seemed to be aware of the issue so maybe it's fixed now! I loved otherwise but I stick to my salted caramel and coveted limited vanilla birthday cake tube now
As a fellow balm head I agree wholeheartedly with pretty much every rating here BUT the only Laneige lip glowy balm to try is the peppermint. I've dedicated several newsletters to it, it's incredibly hard to find once they sell through their holiday kits and it is giving menthol ice winter heaven. This year's "candy cane" is not as fuego as last year's "peppermint" but it's close and I am addicted to both the mask and the balm!

I'm glad I'm not the only crazy woman with lip balm everywhere! I guess I should try the laneige mask after all this...
PEPPERMINT LANEIGE HIVE 🫡
Ok! Too many people sleep on Naturium lip products, truly. Pillowy, great colors and inexpensive! Also, I love lano lips, too.
Unfortunately, I was one of the girls who Rhode caused irritation for which was a very upsetting thing for me 🥲
That being said, for truly cracked lips: I love doing a little hyaluronic acid on my lips at night followed by some sort of petrolatum.
oooh great tips! I am certainly one of those sleeping on naturium so I'll have to get involved

Omg… well someone else convinced me into the dior lip glow so I feel like we’re on opposite journeys here lol
my addiction to dior lip glow balm is bankrupting me, but my lips have never been prettier
That’s my next step in this journey so appreciate the warning here LOL

omg... i need to know what job. i sort of want to apply just for fun
that’s the funniest part - it was an internship at an accounting firm and i would have been on their non-existent social media team lol
The Basic Balm by Sonsie is by far one of the best balms I've tried! Definitely recommend trying it out :))
Ooh on it!

adding to list immediately

It’s so underrated!
This is so important to me
I’m so happy to have found my tribe through lip balm
we’ve come a long way from eos :’)
I know… and that’s on growth
i liked before reading - that’s how much i knew i was going to love reading this <3
mine’s dior lip glow, but i’m craving the summer fridays iced coffee one now 💭
So sweet 🤍 what’s your lip balm pick?!

Means so much!!!! Yes - you gotta try and lmk. :)

All of my tinted ones got moldy after a few weeks.... the smell was truly sickening
That is incredibly disturbing and now I am scared to use mine

this thread is so awesome

Ahhhh ok NOTED 🫡 I’ll be on the hunt. have you tried topicals? It might convert you idk….
I did order one that was “marked as delivered” but never materialized 🤨
Three words you hate to hear
Loved this, entertaining but very informative for a fellow lip balm lover. I'm going to have to pick up that Doré Le Baume now...
so happy you enjoyed! You'll have to let me know if you try it :)
