Wow, I love this, especially the Up the Joie de Vivre Index! Somehow along the way, in between life's challenging moments and being a responsible member of society, I've lost that "Joie de Vivre" and I want to get it back.
:) I was just sharing this with my bf! How I used to be so optimistic and was very half glass full in my twenties but somehow, growing up, now in my late 30’s I’ve lost that former optimist, and now it’s harder work to be optimistic and dragged down by life’s experiences, challenges, etc! It happened so gradually too, argh!!
Yes to all of these – especially early wake-ups and fresh flowers! Some of the most inspiring moments of my days happen in the wee hours, as hard as they are to come by some days.
I enjoyed this so much!! Your advice is always actionable without being trite- a previous rec to simplify meals to 2-3 components during overwhelming times has been super helpful to me and mine!
This is one of my favorite topics (well, except when I'm at the bottom of a lack-of-motivation spiralllll, but whatever). I wrote about it last week in fact. The biggest thing that's been helping me is this thought: behavior drives feeling, not the other way around. I will sit in think about how badly I do not want to do my planned 'walk jog run' until I've run out of time and then feel worse. But if I do it even though I don't FEEL like it, the feelings at the end of the W-J-R are...voila! MOTIVATED. 🏃♀️
Katie this is so so good, thank you. You are #mytonyrobbins
